What do you want to do?

Logging In To Flickr

Some things you can do on Flickr (such as uploading) require you to login with the troop's Flickr account. To login, follow these steps in order:

  1. Contact the Troop 755 webmaster at this e-mail address to get the Yahoo! ID and password for the Yahoo! account the troop uses for Flickr. For security reasons, the ID and password are not disclosed here.
  2. Browse to http://www.flickr.com/photos/bsatroop755md.
  3. At the upper right corner of the page, click Sign In.
  4. Enter the Yahoo! ID you were given in step 1. Note: If you're already logged in as a different Yahoo user, first click Sign in as a different user then enter the Yahoo! ID.
  5. Enter the password you were given in step 1.
  6. Click OK to login.

Upload photos

We need all the photos we can get!

Photos uploaded to Flickr are viewable by everyone. The troop has a Flickr "Pro" account, so there are no upload limits.

You can upload photos three ways:
  • Flickr web site

    Follow these steps in order:

    1. Login to Flickr with the troop account. See Logging In To Flickr.
    2. Click Upload Photos & Video.
    3. Follow the prompts to upload your photos.
  • Flickr Uploadr

    Flickr Uploadr is a software application you install on your computer that makes it easy to upload, label, and group your photos, among other things.

    Follow these steps in order:

    1. Browse to http://www.flickr.com/tools/.
    2. Click the appropriate link to download the version of Flickr Uploadr that matches your computer (Windows versus Mac).
    3. When the download completes, run the file to install the application.
    4. Start the Flickr Uploadr application.
    5. Drag your photos to the application window or click the Add button. Edit titles, descriptions, sets, etc., for the photos.
    6. Click the Upload button. It may prompt you for Flickr login info. Contact the Troop 755 webmaster at this e-mail address to get the Yahoo! ID and password for the Yahoo! account the troop uses for Flickr.
  • Get help with uploading

    You can e-mail photos to the Troop 755 webmaster at this e-mail address who will be happy to upload them for you.

You'll probably find the Flickr Uploadr to be the most convenient. Please contact the Troop 755 webmaster at this e-mail address if you need help with any of this.

Download photos

To download copies of photos from Flickr, follow these steps in order:

  1. Browse for the picture you want to download.
  2. As shown below, click the Actions menu above the picture then click View all sizes.
  3. As shown below, click the picture size you want then click Download the * size of this photo.
  4. Your browser should prompt you where to save the picture file onto your computer.

Change comments, etc. on photos

You can comment on photos after you log in with any Flickr account.

Follow these steps in order. These steps assume you will use the troop's Flickr account.

  1. Login to Flickr with the troop account. See Logging In To Flickr.
  2. Browse for the picture you want to change. Commenting, etc., should be easy to figure out.

Go to photos now.
